Notetakers summarise a meeting once it’s over. Sotto helps while the question is still in the air: what to say, in your words, from your own experience. You can still export the session as notes afterwards.
Who is Sotto for?
Anyone who has to sound sharp on a call and can’t afford to look unprepared: job interviews and technical screens, back-to-back client meetings, sales calls, a call in a language that isn’t your first. Sotto is a helper. It reminds you of what you know and phrases it well.

Can the other people see it?
Nothing joins the call, so there’s no bot and no recording notice. The overlay is on your computer: in a normal call the other side sees your camera, not your screen. If you share your screen, Sotto asks macOS or Windows to leave it out. We tested Zoom and other meeting apps on Mac and Windows, sharing the whole screen or a single window, and the overlay didn’t show. Sotto also notices a share starting and can hide itself at once. To confirm it on your own computer, run the check in Settings → Screen Sharing.
Which apps and languages?
Any app that plays sound on your computer: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Slack, Discord and FaceTime, with no plug-in and no bot. Transcription runs in 10 languages on a Mac (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Cantonese; 30 regional variants on macOS 26.5), one per call, chosen in Settings → Audio. On Windows it is English for now.
Does Sotto make things up?
It’s told to use only what’s in your résumé and profile, and never to invent experience. Import your résumé and the role you’re preparing for, and the answers are yours.
Does audio leave my computer?
No. Both sides of the call are transcribed on your computer, by Apple’s speech engine on a Mac and by Sotto’s own on Windows. When you ask for an answer, only the recent transcript, your profile and, for screen analysis, one screenshot are sent. Sotto’s servers keep your account and credits, never transcripts, answers or screenshots. Privacy.
Is it allowed where I am?
Sotto shows an AI notice at the start of every session. Whether AI help is allowed is your employer’s, interviewer’s or exam’s rule, and recording laws are yours to follow.
What does it run on?
A Mac with macOS 26 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel, where it lives in the menu bar. Or a PC with Windows 10 (2004) or Windows 11, 64-bit. Both update themselves.
